PASTORS AND ELDERS

We love how the Bible lays out the job description of elders to be more like a shepherd than anything else. Elders lead the church, teach and preach the Word, protect from error, and care for and encourage the church.

  • JON BICKERTON • ELDER

After several years on staff as a campus missionary with CRU, Jon moved back to Tucson where he now works as a public accountant. He and his family have been a part of Holy Cross since its conception and launch team days. He is passionate about theology, evangelism, and men's ministry. He and his wife, Jenn, have three children: Gwendolyn, Gus (Augustine), and Knox

  • JOSH DUBS • ELDER

Born and raised in Tucson and a University of Arizona graduate, Josh has most enjoyed growing in his faith in connected fellowship with others. He is an avid golfer and snowboarder, and enjoys studying theology and history. He is married to Lauren and they have three children: Jackson, Kenley, and Quinn.

  • PETE REHRMANN • ELDER

    LEAD PASTOR

A mid-west native, Pete came to Tucson in 1999, met his wife Jenná while attending The University of Arizona, and soon after began to pursue opportunities to start a gospel-centered church in Tucson. Holy Cross was launched in October of 2011. They have three children, Cohen, Kate, & Quinn. Pete is a graduate of Phoenix Theological Seminary.

  • PETER ZIMMER • ELDER

    Director of Family Discipleship

Peter serves as our Director of Family Discipleship. Parents have been appointed by God to be an irreplaceable tool in his powerful hands for the purpose of training children in the gospel. Peter serves to assist, equip, and encourage parents in this essential task. He and his wife, Carrie, were involved in the conception of Holy Cross in 2010. They have three daughters: Nevaeh, Selah, and Lexi.

Deacons

Deacons are among our best servants of the church and are specifically called to help maintain the health and care of the church by giving leadership to our most basic practical and physical needs.

  • Robby culver

My name is Robby and I was born and raised in Tucson. I attended the University of Arizona and received my undergrad degree in mechanical engineering. Just recently I got married to my wife, Stephanie, who is also a Tucson native. I started attending Holy Cross in the Summer of 2013 and immediately found that meaningful relationships was a priority. I now enjoy hosting and co-leading a weekly life group at my home.

  • gary oglebay

My name is Gary and I have been married to Julie for 28 years. We have two daughters, Chelsea (22), and Rachel (20). I am originally from Howell, Michigan where I spent my first 22 years of life. We have attended Holy Cross since 2012 and have loved every minute of it. For those of us that have been to other churches in our time, it it so obvious that Holy Cross church is an absolute treasue. I am excited to be a part of what God is doing here.

  • bil van otterloo

My name is Bil and I've been coming to Holy Cross for about since 2014 with my wife Sarah and our 2 kids - Liam (11) and Abby (9). Holy Cross has been a tremendous gift to our family. In the last 2 years, our family has grown more in our relationship with God than in any time previously. After our first visit we knew that our family would be cared for here and that we would hear the Gospel preached each week.

MINISTRY TEAM LEADERS

Our ministry team is made up of some amazing people who use their unique talents and gifts to love God and the people of Holy Cross. Among them are church officers, paid staff, and volunteers.

  • KELLY ALEXANDER

    Children's ministry administrator

We love our children, not because they are the church of tomorrow, but because they are an integral part of the church of today. Kelly has a passion for kids as well as creating a culture at Holy Cross that celebrates and disciples the whole family. She leads in a supportive role for our ministry to families on Sunday mornings.

  • BIL VAN OTTERLOO

    Mission & OUTREACH

One of our primary pursuits as a church is to engage in God's outward-focused mission. We hope this commitment leads to a vibrant, loving, and soul-satisfied community of people who faithfully point to the good news of Jesus. Bil helps gather people to integrate this mission into the whole church.
